Spring in Oak Glen: Apple Blossom Festival & Local Events (2026 Guide)
Aaah, spring in Oak Glen. You can feel it the moment you drive up the hill.
The short winter days are behind us, the air is a little warmer, and everything starts to come alive again. Trees are blooming, the orchards are waking up, and there’s just a different kind of energy in the Glen.
And that means one thing…
👉 It’s Apple Blossom Festival time.
This is one of my favorite times of the year up here. It kicks off the entire spring season and brings together everything that makes Oak Glen special – family, food, fresh air, and a slower pace that’s hard to find anywhere else.
If you’re planning a visit (or even if you’re local and just want a reason to get out), here’s what you can look forward to starting in April.
🌿 Oak Glen Farmer’s Market (Spring 2026)
If you enjoy fresh, local food and supporting small businesses, this is a must.
📅 Opening Weekend: April 18–19, 2026
⏰ Time: 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM
📍 Location: 38955 Oak Glen Road
After opening weekend, the market continues every other weekend through July at the same time and location.
What you’ll find:
-
🥖 Fresh baked goods
-
🥚 Farm-fresh eggs
-
🍯 Local honey
-
🧺 Handmade and artisan items
-
🥬 Seasonal produce
-
☕ Small-batch food and drink vendors
There are typically 50+ vendors, so it’s not just a quick stop – it’s something you can really take your time with. Bonus, it’s across the street from Oak Tree Mountain, so you can get some shopping in here after visiting all of the activities there!

🌄 More Places to Explore in Oak Glen
One of the best things about visiting during Apple Blossom season is that it’s not just one event – the entire Glen is active.
As more events and activities are announced, I’ll continue updating this post. In the meantime, it’s always a good idea to check directly with the local farms and businesses, since they often have their own special events, tastings, and seasonal offerings.
Here are a few places I always recommend keeping an eye on:
👉 Many of these locations also post frequent updates on Facebook and Instagram, especially during event season.
🌼 Why This Season Is Worth the Trip
If you’ve never been to Oak Glen in the spring, it’s honestly one of the best-kept local experiences in Southern California.
-
The crowds are lighter than fall 🍂
-
The weather is cooler and more comfortable ☀️
-
The scenery is fresh and green 🌿
-
And everything feels a little more relaxed
It’s a great time to:
-
Take a day trip with family
-
Grab coffee and walk the orchards
-
Let the kids run around outside
-
Or just slow down for a few hours
🦌 A Special Bonus: Deer Sightings
One of the things that makes spring in Oak Glen really unique is how often you’ll see wildlife – especially deer.
During this time of year, it’s very common to spot deer:
-
Early in the morning
-
Late afternoon into the evening
A great place to look is the orchard area just below:
-
Oak Glen Road just below the turn off for Potato Canyon Road
If you drive slowly through that stretch or take a moment to stop and look out over the orchards, there’s a good chance you’ll see them grazing. You may even catch some fawns with their mothers, so cute!
🌷 Final Thoughts
Spring in Oak Glen is simple – but that’s exactly what makes it so good.
Fresh air, good food, local people, and a chance to step away from the noise for a bit.
If you’re looking for something easy, enjoyable, and a little different this April… this is it.
Happy Spring 🌸
And if you end up going, I’d love to hear what your favorite stop was.
