Can You Bring a Dog to Oak Glen?
If you’re planning a mountain getaway with your four-legged friend, you’ll be happy to know that dogs are welcome in many areas of Oak Glen. While not every farm and attraction is completely dog-friendly, there are still plenty of ways to enjoy a relaxing day in the mountains with your pup.
Here’s what you should know before visiting Oak Glen with your dog.
Are Dogs Allowed in Oak Glen?
Yes – leashed dogs are welcome in most outdoor areas of Oak Glen, including many picnic spaces, walking areas, and outdoor gathering spots. Oak Glen is known for its scenic mountain views, fresh air, and spacious outdoor environments, making it a great place for a day trip with your dog.
However, there are a few important exceptions.
U-Pick Apple Orchards Do Not Allow Dogs
While Oak Glen is generally dog-friendly, most U-Pick apple orchards do not allow dogs inside the orchards.
Many of the apple trees in Oak Glen are nearly 100 years old and are carefully maintained to preserve the orchards for future generations. Because of this, orchard owners limit pet access in areas where guests are actively picking apples.
If your main goal is U-Pick apple picking, it’s usually best to leave your dog at home for that portion of the trip.
